Martha Bernard
Trieste 1919. A young man completely devoid of memory is locked up in the city brake hospital. There Nemo - this is the name assigned to the mysterious man without a past - meets Dr. Martha Bernard (Romina Colbasso), who experiments with him the innovative technique of psychoanalysis, and another strange patient with whom he shares the hospital room: Edi (Andrea Germani).
Three different characters, but who seem to be the many sides of the same coin. A system of Chinese boxes in which nothing is as it seems and which links the events of the three protagonists in a real Waltz. All this up to an ending that reminds us that we must never trust appearances and that reality is always more complex than it seems.
PERFORMANCE AND NARRATIVE
IN AN UNPRECEDENTED UNION
The doctor Bernard seems to pursue the mission of rehabilitate the young man without memory and at the same time free the psychoanalytic doctrine in the eyes of fellow detractors; Edi is intent on take apart the roommate's enthusiasm and to remind him how irreversible the condition of the mentally ill is; Nemo, altogether lost since the loss of his identity, he is gripped by fears, hopes, excruciating nightmares and extraordinary abilities that emerge in spite of him.
